Care Assistant

We are a small, family-run care home for 21 residents based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.  We provide a home and care for people over 65. 

We are excited to welcome a new Care Assistant to the team with excellent communication skills and experience with caring for individuals.

The role is full-time for upto 40 hours per week, including weekends. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis , but we are able to take into consideration any personal circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

To create a safe, warm and welcoming environment for residents and their families. Support the Manager and wider care team in the daily operations of a residential home including:

• Implement care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met
• Administer medications and monitor medication schedules
• Coordinate and oversee the activities of the caregiving staff
• Promote a positive work environment
• Help ensure compliance with all regulations and standards related to residential care
• Help maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care and progress
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address any medical or behavioral concerns
