Part-Time Cook - Lugano Care Home (Buckhurst Hill)

Lugano Care Home, a friendly and supportive care home in Buckhurst Hill, is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cook to join our team on a part-time basis, working approximately 20 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute your culinary skills and potentially grow within our organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of nutritious meals for our residents according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Assist with stock rotation and ordering of stock. 
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely meal preparation.
• Contribute to menu suggestions and provide feedback on dishes.
• Ensure all food is cooked and presented to the highest standards, considering the dietary needs of our residents.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (Level 2 Food Hygiene certification desirable).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Hours:

Approximately 20 hours per week. 

Rate of Pay:

Hourly wage: £12.50 (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
