Our two sixty-bed Care Homes are based in St George’s Park, Ditchling Common, within 3 miles of both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, set within 250 acres of beautiful gardens and farmlands, in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views overlooking the South Downs.

The Role
The Team Leader will be responsible for a range of care and support services to the Homes and their Residents. In addition, you will act under supervision of the qualified professional Staff Nurse, plan, implement, and undertake appropriate clinical skills. As well as supervise the provision of quality of care to the Residents and assist in development of care staff.
As Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that the Home functions efficiently and effectively maintaining a high standard of care. You will lead the care team during the shift ensuring that a safe and effective care service is maintained. You will also be expected to support those care staff who are mentoring new staff members in all aspects of their work.
You will act as a role model by providing leadership and support for all care staff and by promoting residents’ safety, dignity and best interests. You will be responsible for clear and accurate care records, liaising with activity staff in organising social and rehabilitative activities, attending and contributing to staff meetings and supporting the Staff Nurses in their duties.
Requirements
We would welcome applications from you if you have a Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 3 Certificate or are qualified at Level 2 and working towards Level 3 in Health & Social Care. It would be preferable if you have had previous experience as a Senior Carer or in a team leader role but is not essential if you show the qualities that we are looking for.

Although it is no longer a legal requirement for staff working within CQC regulated Care Homes for Older Adult Care in England to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, in the best interests of our staff and residents, we have decided to keep it a mandatory requirement to work for our organisation. Therefore, we will need proof of your COVID Vaccination pass.
