To undertake maintenance duties in multiple homes across the region and are responsible for carrying out compliance checks and inspections / audits within more than one home in accordance with the HC-One Maintenance Manual. They will ensure that compliance logbooks are managed effectively, and all records are up to always date and available for inspection.

Working primarily across two homes and may be required to work in additional homes as required.

Respond to callouts as required.

Effective engagement and communication with the Home Manager and other colleagues.

Undertake basic plumbing in the home including (but not exclusively) tap replacement, changing mixer valves, minor pipe repairs, unblock drains, washers, ball valves, WC fittings, to ensure that the basic plumbing systems remain operable. 

Responsible for the replacement of consumable electrical items

Undertake basic joinery such as fitting new door locks, hanging replacement doors, door and window timber repair, window restrictors, ironmongery repair and replacement to ensure an appropriate standard are maintained. 

Undertake general decoration as required including tiling/wallpaper/painting to ensure the Home maintains a clean, homely environment to meet the needs of Residents and Colleagues.

Monitoring of mechanical and electrical systems including fire systems and fabric defects,  and notifying the HC-One property helpdesk to ensure prompt action where required.

To carry out all of the tests and checks as laid out and required by the HC-One Maintenance Manual including daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual tasks ensuring appropriate records are completed and maintained.

Ensure accurate updating and recording of Homes defects and repairs to enable, in agreement with the Home Manager, the effective co-ordination of maintenance and repairs.

In accordance with the company policies, ensure that all Asbestos/Legionella risk assessment files are maintained and that all Colleagues are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
