Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel, we have been supporting older people for over 100 years. The charity provides care home and day care services for older people, as well as grants for older people in financial difficulty.
With a person-focused approach to care, Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House are picturesque homes situated in beautiful grounds in Malvern. Specialising in care for people with dementia, as well as residential and nursing care, we have a dedicated, well-trained and compassionate team of staff on hand to ensure that Malvern feels like home.
Joining us as Care Home Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of Malvern Care Home providing an efficient and confidential administration service and as first point of contact for residents and visitors, you’ll offer friendly, welcoming and professional support.
Supporting the general manager across the site, you’ll assist with various tasks including payroll, creating and maintaining staff and resident files, ensuring staff training is booked and records maintained and also assisting with recruitment.
You’ll ensure new staff are compliant before starting and throughout their employment in accordance with CQC regulations and Charity policy. You’ll effectively manage all staff data, in both hard copy and on our software systems, ensuring all starters, changes, staff hours and leavers are processed weekly.
You’ll process pre-admission, admission and discharge documents etc. and follow up and monitor any enquiries for potential new residents. You’ll prepare contracts and invoices for new residents, plus process fees and make sure that our orders from suppliers are received and correct. This is a truly varied role!
This is the perfect opportunity for a friendly yet professional individual who has proven experience in an administrative role. Educated to A level or equivalent, you’ll have experience of working to deadlines as part of a team and on your own initiative. You’ll have experience handling data, number and reporting in detail along with handling a wide range of enquiries in a timely and confidential manner.
You’ll be an organised individual with experience of providing efficient general administrative support and establishing positive relationships with all working partnerships. You’ll be a strong communicator, with a good level of numeracy skills and excellent IT skills, proficient in MS Office and staffing and financial systems.
