Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Saint Jude Care Home. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that our residents receive the best possible care and support. Your leadership will play a crucial role in maintaining our outstanding reputation within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Manager and care team.
  • Manage staff rotas, recruitment processes, and payroll documentation.
  • Ensure the office environment is organised and well-maintained.
  • Conduct staff supervisions and facilitate ongoing training.
  • Liaise with the families of residents, providing updates and support.
  • Carry out pre-admission assessments and organise the admission of new residents.
  • Step into the Acting Manager role during the Manager's absence or annual leave.
  • Share on-call duties.

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a care setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent communication skills
  • both verbal and written. Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Adult Social Care. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
