HOW about this for a rose between two thorns?

Dora Johncey, 86, a resident at Colten Care’s The Aldbury in Poole, Dorset, is pictured enjoying the attentions of Ugly Sisters Ken Newell and Pip Brown.

Ken, a carer, and Pip, a laundry assistant, were among eight staff taking part in ‘Cinderella’ at the residential and nursing home.

Residents and their families enjoyed the traditional panto which, as always, featured plenty of audience participation.

Rosemarie Kuah, Home Manager, said: “There was lots of fun and laughter. It was a very happy occasion.

“We’re fortunate to have a fun-loving team who are also very dedicated to their work of caring for our residents.”

The Aldbury, in Ringwood Road, Parkstone, employs 80 staff and has 55 residents aged from 53 years to 101.

The purpose built home is designed to provide nursing and residential care for people with an Alzheimer's diagnosis and other dementia related conditions.
