Balhousie Care Group raised £40,598 for the Children’s Hospice Association by holding a Moulin Rouge themed charity ball.
Hosted by comedian Bobby Davro and Tay FM’s Stuart Webster, around 250 people attended the event. A further donation of almost £56,000, which was raised by Balhousie Care Group over the past year, was also handed over to CHAS on the night.
Tony Banks, chairman and founder of Perth-based Balhousie Care Group, which has 24 care homes across Scotland, said: “The ball was another huge success and all our guests had a fantastic night, raising an incredible amount for our nominated charity CHAS.
“We had some great charity auction prizes, such as a trip to the actual Moulin Rouge in Paris, and people dug very deep, with extra donations coming in after the ball, which gave us a final total of £40,598.
“We were also delighted to be able to hand over a separate donation of £55,678 to CHAS, raised over the past year, to support the invaluable work it does caring for children and their families, and the ball marked the start of a new year of fundraising by Balhousie Care Group.”
