Staff and residents of Parklands care home, in Macclesfield, are reportedly thrilled with a new makeover, that has seen improvements made to the garden area and a refurbished staff room.
Owned by the CLS Care Services Group, the renovation was made possible thanks to the provider’s strong business relationship with the Wigan-based Truline Construction and Interiors, who carried out the work as part of a corporate responsibility programme.
A studded wall, erected in the staff room, now offers employees more privacy, while the back garden now includes a new shed and pergola, as well as being more easily-accessible for residents.
Registered for forty service users, Parklands specialises in looking after residents with sensitive mental health, including learning disabilities and dementia, while also offering day and respite care to members of the local community.
Home manager Chris Machin commented on the renovation: “We’re delighted that Truline has helped us with a mini-makeover. The staff were limited in areas they could go to relax, but the new wall in the staff room and garden area now helps them to recharge their batteries before getting back to supporting our residents’ needs.
“We’re hoping that the improved back garden will encourage residents to enjoy more gardening activities when the warmer weather comes.”
The CLS Care Service Group, a charitable organisation dedicated to sound dementia care provision, currently has twenty-six care homes registered with the Care Quality Commission and is North West England’s largest care home provider.
