A new 83 bedroom nursing home will be built in Swindon, for Angel Care Plc specialising in providing care for residents with dementia.

The Bank of Ireland has funded the project which will include 14 self-contained care flats. The funds will also be used to refinance their existing four care homes around the country.

Commenting on the deal Mike Harrison, relationship manager, at Bank of Ireland UK said: "Bank of Ireland UK strives to work closely with our customers to understand their business as well as their funding requirements, and as such we are delighted to have the opportunity to share Angel Care’s vision in their care home offerings."

Sandip Ruparelia, director of Angel Care Plc, added: "We approached Bank of Ireland UK because their Healthcare team is well known in the healthcare community and is highly regarded for its in-depth sector knowledge and relationship approach. We are looking forward to working with them as we progress with the development of the Swindon site."
