Hallmark Care Homes marked Dementia Awareness Week by launching their first care home specialising solely in dementia care.
Admiral Court in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, was officially opened by Mayor of Southend on Sea, Sally Carr.
Sharon Burlace, manager of the new home manger said, “This building is beautiful and the facilities we have are exceptional. However, that’s just one part of it – the other part, of course, is the outstanding level of relationship-centred care which we will provide to every one of our residents”.
The state-of-the-art building includes a “His and Hers” hair salon, IT suite, a shop, spa therapy room, a pub and gardens specially designed for people with dementia.
The mayor, councillor Carr called the home a “unique and outstanding facility for local people”.
The 60-bed home is Hallmark’s second home in Essex following the opening of Pinders award-winning Anisha Grange in Billericay late last year.
The group is continuing to expand their portfolio of homes in the South of England as part of their multi-million pound investment plan and commitment to provide quality care in outstanding homes.
