The Care Professionals Benevolent Fund (CPBF) is hosting its Summer Charity Ball on Friday 6th July 2012, at the Plaisterers’ Hall in London, as the national registered charity looks to further its support for the work of carers around the UK.
Organised in association with Caring Times, the Ball will help the CPBF to raise money for current, former and retired care professionals, as the charity looks to thank and protect carers for their own contribution towards society’s most vulnerable people by helping through times of financial hardship, as well as being able to safeguard valuable careers during sickness or injury.
Many generous benefactors have supported the event by donating auction prizes, and guests at the dinner can enjoy table entertainment, dancing and a fun casino, alongside top-class dining.
CPBF spokesman Shaun Turner comments: “We are extremely grateful to Caring Times for organising the Ball in aid of the CPBF. Our events draw people together within the Care Industry, allowing a valuable opportunity to catch up and exchange ideas; if you attend one event this year, be sure to make it The CPBF Summer Ball.”
A few tables remain for anyone wishing to help protect the UK's care workforce, with more information available from Shital Patel on 020 7720 2108 ext 202, or via e-mail at shital@hawkerpublications.com
The CPBF was founded in 2009 after a number of leading sector professionals and representatives saw the need to pursue the philosophy of “caring for the carer”; the charity is chaired by Robin Cheesman and has actresses June Whitfield CBE and Lynda Bellingham, as well as broadcaster and television presenter Fiona Phillips, as patrons.
