UK charity the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund, dedicated to supporting the lives of care workers experiencing difficult times, has secured a new sponsor to assist with its new ‘Corporate Membership Campaign’.

Purchasing solutions specialists Beacon Healthcare, who operate in the healthcare, hospitality and leisure sectors, have announced they will help promote the campaign which is dedicated to securing more care business owners and operators as members of the CPBF. Where successful the campaign will secure an extra £1 per employee per year to support CPBF grants.

spokesman Shaun Turner welcomes the announcement, saying: “I am absolutely delighted that Beacon have chosen to be the sole sponsors of such an important campaign. Thanks to Beacon, we are now assured of getting our messages out to those who can really make a difference. And £1 per employee, in the wider scheme of things, is not much to ask, is it?”

Beacon Healthcare director Nick Ryan also commented: “The work of the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund is crucial in making sure that society looks after those who have looked after them. How many of us owe a debt of gratitude to those who have dedicated their lives to looking after our sick or aging family members or friends, or those who have suffered life changing disabilities? We want to help the CPBF to continue its mission by making employers and business owners aware of the great work being done to help look after their greatest asset, their people.”

The partnership will result in a fresh marketing drive for the CPBF, with booklets, leaflets and e-bulletins expected that will highlight the importance of the charity’s contribution to an under-pressure sector.
