Work has begun on a new Care UK nursing home that will provide care for up to 80 older people in the Poole area.

The new home which will provide residents with high specification en-suite rooms, well-designed lounges and dining rooms, a hair salon and accessible landscape gardens, will bring around 80 new jobs to the town.

Care UK, manager James Gant said: “We are incorporating lots of great amenities and facilities, including a modern coffee shop and cinema so that residents can enjoy socialising with their friends and relatives whatever the weather.”

“We expect the home to be complete by September 2013 and we hope the first residents will join us in the following month. There will be open days for people to view the home and its facilities and we will be holding recruitment days, as we are dedicated to finding the very highest calibre team to make this a centre of excellence as well as a real home from home for its residents.”

Jamie Mableson, of Metnor Property Group, which is building the home said “We are delighted to once again be working with Care UK on another leading edge care home project.”

Care UK is winner of an award for best residential care provider of the year and numerous dementia care awards.
