Care home provider Anchor have taken an innovative approach to website development, having launched an online survey that allows visitors to anchor.org.uk to report on the userability of the site and offer opinions on how it could be improved.
The site currently lists information on Anchor’s UK care home portfolio, consisting of more than 100 accommodations, as well as advice on choosing services and information on land acquisition for new developments.
However, customer research manager Dean Crow believes that online customer interaction offers far more potential, saying:
“Creating a website which provides visitors with the information they need quickly and easily is challenging for an organisation as diverse as Anchor. This survey will give customers, colleagues and stakeholders the opportunity to set the agenda as we embark on the next exciting stage of web development.”
Anchor’s digital marketing manager, Paul Featherstone, also commented: “This is the first time we have surveyed users of the Anchor website online and we are extremely excited about the prospect of understanding more about the needs, expectations and ideas for improvement that visitors have. We plan to use the information gathered to make using our website a better experience for users.”
