Opening to the public in September 2012, Chesterton Lodge is a £4.5m state of the art facility and will provide a home for 64 vulnerable older people in en suite accommodation. All staff will undergo extensive induction and training.

The operator of the home, Ideal Care Homes already operates the nearby Park Hall and The Cedars Care Home in Bentilee and Holden Bridge.

The chairman of Ideal Care Homes, Lawrence Tomlinson, said: “We aim for all our homes to be both a great place to live and a great place to work. I am keen to promote care as a positive career choice and hope to see the people who come to work at Chesterton Lodge progress within the company by providing great care to the people who live there. The home will be a fantastic environment to work and live in.”

Chesterton Lodge’s home manager, Gaynor Reeves, said “It is really exciting to set up and manage a new home and to recruit a new staff team. The people here are incredibly passionate about care and I am sure we will find the right people to make this a great place to live”.

Ideal Care Homes currently operate 32 homes across the North and Midlands. The company is proud to have a no third party top ups policy ensuring nobody is excluded from accessing high quality care by the nature of their financial circumstances. All Ideal Care Homes rooms have en-suite facilities in purpose built state of the art accommodation.
