Scotland-based care home provider BCG celebrated the opening of their latest state-of-the-art accommodation earlier this week, at the opening of the £5m St Ronans Care Home in Dundee.
A purpose-built care facility has the capacity to welcome up to 66 residents and provides a welcome jobs boost to the local community. Clients will enjoy views of the River Tay, with the building itself having been designed to maximise the benefits of scenic surroundings, including large windows and pleasant gardens.
Chairman and founder of Balhousie Care Group, Tony Banks, was excited to see the home welcoming its first residents, saying:
“Balhousie St Ronan’s Care Home will offer both nursing and residential care and by the time it is full it will have created around 60 jobs for Dundee, ranging from domestic and care assistants to nursing staff and managers, as well as providing a major boost for the local construction industry as a result of Balhousie Care Group’s investment.
“We understand that choosing a care home can be a difficult decision but this modern brand new home will allow us to provide an extremely high level of comfort for residents as well as offering the expected standards of excellence in residential care.”
The Balhousie Care Group continues to expand in recent years, even in the face of tough economic times, now operating in 26 homes and with another facility to open in Huntly before the end of the year.
