Property agents DC Care Specialist Healthcare Business Agents and have reported on overseeing the successful acquisition of Dudley’s Grange Park Care Centre, a purpose-built home that will now undergo refurbishment in order to re-open in spring 2013.

Having been registered for nursing and personal care, on re-opening the care centre will be further equipped to welcome adults diagnosed with a form of dementia, as well as taking on its new identity of Himley Manor.

DC Care’s Alison Taylor reports on a healthy level of interest in the facility, saying: “Following an open day for viewings, we received five offers for the home. As with all offers on homes being sold on behalf of the Joint Administrators, the provision of adequate evidence of funding is key to an offer being considered and ultimately, accepted.”

Peter Dowling of Edward Symmons also commented: “This sale demonstrates that, despite being closed, with thorough marketing sales can be achieved, and we look forward to seeing the results of refurbishment, and the opening of Himley Manor.”

New owners, Mr and Mrs Qayum, will now be able to see their vision for the home take shape, before welcoming their first residents: “We are very excited about Himley Manor and can’t wait to welcome new residents. We have a lot of changes planned for the home so that we can provide the high quality care people deserve.”

More recent acquisitions announced by DC Care include Oak Lodge Care Home, in Abergele, and Hazelmere House Care Home, Grimsby.
