Seven care assistants from Coverage Care Services Ltd have been awarded for clocking up 130 years of long service between them.
A special presentation afternoon was held at Lightmoor View care home in Telford where chief executive David Coull celebrated the dedication and loyalty of the care staff.
Carers, Julie Morris, Kath Thacker, Mary Huntbatch and Suzanne Bourne from Woodcroft care home in Market Drayton celebrated 15 years of service along with Irene Williams from in Shrewsbury and Ann Lewis from Fairhome in Oswestry.
Liz Dorricott was also acknowledged at the event and received an award for her 25 years of service at Coverage Care.
She said: “It's been an absolute pleasure working for Coverage Care all these years. It's been a pleasure to have worked alongside our great team of staff and our residents everyday.
“I've had a fantastic 25 years, and this afternoon was a great opportunity to celebrate everyone's achievements, not just mine.”
The celebrations continued as 13 staff members received certificates for completing their vocational qualifications.
Mr Coull said: “It was a day of celebration for all at Coverage Care. What a delight to be able to hand out certificates and awards to staff who have dedicated themselves to working hard meeting needs of those for whom we provide care, both at home and in our homes across the county.
“Being a carer is not an easy job, but these long service awards show it is a worthy and rewarding one.”
