Shropshire care home New Fairholme will be marking its opening by accommodating over 80 women for a charity pamper party and sleepover session in April.
The supporters of in North Shropshire will enjoy supper, bed and breakfast and a night of pampering in the home’s 88 large en suite bedrooms, lounge and dining area.
Organiser of the event, Sue Dewhirst, said: “We think this is probably the biggest sleepover Shropshire has seen and promises to be a night of gastronomy, gossip and a little bit of pampering thrown in too – the new home even has its own salon.
“We've put this evening together with the generous support of Coverage Care Services Ltd and all the funds raised go to supporting Age UK's core services in North Shropshire, which support day centres as well as providing advice and information for the older person.”
Not for profit company Coverage Care will be opening the home to welcome its new residents a few days after the sleepover event which takes place on 5 April 2013.
Coverage Care chief executive, David Coull, said: "We're really looking forward to opening New Fairholme which has been designed with the changing landscape for care needs in mind.
"However, before then New Fairholme will host supporters of Age UK NSS and we're delighted to be supporting their fundraising in such an innovative way. Invited guests will be using our on-site hair salon, dining rooms, and of course, our en-suite rooms. I will be joining them for a little supper earlier on but then will be making my excuses!
Tickets are £25 and will allow sleepover guests an opportunity to discover the facilities on offer inside the £6.9m development.
“New Fairholme will provide Oswestry residents with the best services when they need them and will be moving residents from our current Fairholme home in Morda Road the week after the Age UK event.
“We are confident that the new home in Oswestry will enhance the care services available in the area, especially as we are offering residential care with nursing care for older people as their requirements change, as well as provision for daytime care services, together on the same site.”
