Two Sanctuary Care homes will raise money for sick children next week by hosting Wallace and Gromit’s Big Breakfast events.

Brambles Care Home, in Redditch, will host its event on Monday between 9am and 10.30am, while residents at Beechwood Care Home, in Upton-upon-Severn, will share breakfast with the local community next Friday between 9am and 11.30am.

Members of the local community are invited to join residents and staff at the events and guests will be asked to pay £2 each for a variety of breakfast treats, including sausage and bacon baps, toast and tea and coffee.

Wallace and Gromit’s Big Breakfast is a national fundraising initiative which takes place between 20 April and 28 April. Organised by Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Charity, the campaign raises money for sick and terminally ill children in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.

Brambles Care Home manager Margaret Hook said: “This day is a great opportunity for our residents and loved ones to support a wonderful cause while eating some delicious food.

“Everyone is really looking forward to the event and we’re hoping to raise lots of money for the charity.”

Denise Clark, Beechwood Care Home manager, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting a very important cause while having fun and welcoming people along from the local community.

“Everyone is really looking forward to the event, especially the toast bar and other yummy breakfast options.

“We’re hoping to raise lots of money for the charity.”
