A director of carehome.co.uk and homecare.co.uk put on his running shoes and completed the London Marathon in aid of the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund.
Oli Blackwell raised £2,200 for the charity when he ran the 26.2-mile course on Sunday. He crossed the finish line after four hours and twenty minutes.
His place in the marathon was donated by Community Integrated Care, which delivers specialist care and support services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health concerns.
After completing the gruelling challenge, Mr Blackwell said: “A tough day out but very happy to support an excellent charity.”
The Care Professionals Benevolent Fund supports current, former and retired care professionals by providing assistance to relieve financial hardship or sickness.
Davina Ludlow, one of the founder trustees of the Care Professionals Benevolent Fund, said: “The charity is very proud of Oli for his amazing effort and support.
“Oli has generously supported our charity since its inception and we are extremely grateful for all of his support.”
