A multi-million pound refurbishment at St John's Care Home, in Spalding, has been completed and unveiled to the public.
Specialists in dementia care, the home’s owners have collaborated with award-winning interior designers Catalyst Interiors to enhance the living environment for those with conditions like Alzheimer’s.
The three large lounges and two dining areas that residents are now able to relax and socialise in incorporate the benefits of reminiscence therapy, with images to stimulate memory and quiet areas designed to put individuals in touch with their past.
Chief executive Abdul Kachra comments: “It is truly a great thing to see this home as it is today. It was one of my first homes and I have always been proud of the services the home has provided over the years. Now St John’s can carry on serving the community which has been so good to me in my year’s in the care business. I hope that we can welcome many more people through our doors to see for themselves the passion of the care team and the management here.”
Country Court currently operate 11 care facilities in the North West, with St John’s being the provider’s longest established home.
Project development manager David Hicks is pleased with the results, commenting: “The project went through up a lot of challenges. Working with residents being in the building and ensuring safety was at the centre of the build. Families have been great and so understanding during the on-going work. It’s been a really good experience seeing the transformation and I’m ecstatic with the final finish.”
