Care home owners and managers in the south of England can attend free Care Roadshows where they can gain invaluable information and find out about new products and services.
Having already visited Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Derby, this interactive exhibition will be visiting Bristol on 24 October and finishing off in Brighton on 19 November.
A spokeswoman for the Care Roadshows said: “The free regional events are a fantastic opportunity for all those working within the care sector to discover new products and services specifically for care homes. They create a welcoming and friendly environment that allows visitors to get hands on with products and meet the faces behind the brands.
“The events are also a great platform for networking with both industry leaders and regional associates, providing a great opportunity to discuss the latest issues within your sector.”
At all events throughout the UK, the roadshows host free seminar programme, focussing on the subjects that are important to care home professionals. Regional heads from the Care Quality Commission have been giving their latest updates and there is the opportunity to discuss policy changes.
Specialist dementia seminars have also been popular at this year’s events, in particular a seminar on ‘Improving Communication for People with Dementia’ presented by Dementia Services Development Centre had a tremendous response in Glasgow back in March.
This same seminar is going to be running again for the southern region taking place at Bristol’s Ashton Gate Stadium.
Care Roadshow Brighton at the Hilton Brighton Metropole will also be running a dementia focused seminar from Alzheimer’s Research UK, this seminar will look at ‘Dementia and research – the myths and the media’.
The exhibitions have also been giving people tasters of exercise workshops from Oomph which offers exercise programmes for a growing number of care home groups.
