A special dinner held to mark the 30th anniversary of Czajka Care Group has raised £500 for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Staff, friends of the company, care home residents and their families were invited to the special evening at Fairmount Park, where a tombola and raffle raised money for the charity.

Czajka Care Group came to life in 1983 when managing director Konrad Czajka opened Staveley Birk Leas Nursing Home. Since then the company, which employs 550 people, has gone from strength to strength and now owns several residential homes, including Brookfield Care Home and Beanlands Nursing Home. It also launched Czajka Community Care Services in 2001, which provides a variety of home support services.

Commenting on the landmark achievement, Mr Czajka said: “When we launched the business in 1983 the main aim was to always put our residents first and offer and exceptional level of care in high quality homes that surpass anything else in the area. Today this ethos remains the same and has been key to our success.

“Even after 30 years we still continually strive to push the boundaries and promote the fact that people living in care deserve to continue living life to the full so we offer lots of amenities that can include Wi-Fi internet, restaurants, a health club, swimming pool, snooker, a bowling green and putting green, as well as a full schedule of entertainment and activities.

“Marking our 30th anniversary is a fantastic milestone for Czajka Care Group. We’ve been well supported throughout our celebrations and we’re delighted to be able to present a cheque to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which offers a fantastic service to the region and plays an important role in saving lives on a daily basis.”
