A 71 bedroom dementia care home will be built in the Midlands in a £7.52m deal with a Derbyshire based construction firm.
The new home should be completed in 56 weeks and will feature a roof top garden for residents to enjoy golf and bowling on the green.
Securing the new project is Wildgoose Construction’s highest value contract to date and the fifth care home they have constructed for the Restful Home Group.
Four other state of the art care homes have been built in Lichfield, Stratford, Cannock and Birmingham from the partnership between the construction firm and care group.
Tim Walker, managing director of Wildgoose Construction, said: “The state-of-the-art care home in Aldridge is the fifth build that we will be working on for the Restful Homes Group.
“These new care homes incorporate some state-of-the-art concepts in the world of elderly living and have been designed to ensure that the residents enjoy the day-to-day activities and living accommodation provided by the group.
“It is particularly pleasing to be working again with such an enlightened client and a design team that understands the client’s aspirations and quality requirements.”
The Restful Homes Group established in 1991 to provide high quality person centered care residential and nursing care throughout the Midlands and South of England.
The new project in Walsall is one of three new care home set to open as part of the Restful Homes Group.
