The communal areas of Collisdene Care Centre have benefited from an £80,000 renovation to improve life for residents living there.

Canterbury Care made the investment in the home, which provides care for adults with learning disabilities and has a specialist unit for elderly people, to make the areas brighter and more comfortable for residents.

Kelly Mair, Collisdene Care Centre manager, said: “The environment of a care home is so important to the well-being of the residents. The home is looking fantastic and we have had lots of positive comments from our residents, their relatives, visitors and members of staff about the work that has been completed so far.

“Most importantly, our residents are coping well with the refurbishment and we are looking forward to showing off our new-look home once the work is completed.”
