Homefield Grange Care Home near Christchurch has welcomed its first resident through its doors after it was officially opened unveiled by the Mayor of Christchurch, Honorary Freeman Councillor John Lofts on 28 February.
The launch event was followed by a family fun day on 1 March, where children’s entertainment accompanied a variety of games and prizes throughout the day.
The home offers luxury accommodation for up to 64 residents, specialising in nursing, residential and dementia care provided with the latest in modern facilities.
The multi-million pound development is under ownership and management of the Maria Mallaband Care Group and Phil Burgan, founder and chief executive of the Group said: "The open days were a huge success with more than 400 people attending over the course of the events. Homefield Grange Care Home is a beautiful place to live, ranking as one of the best of its kind in the UK, and we look forward to delivering an unprecedented quality of care and facilities to the elderly in Christchurch and the surrounding areas."
Guests at the launch were treated to champagne and canapés whilst enjoying entertainment from a violinist, followed by a guided tour around the home.
