Launched at Rosewood House Care Home, in London, the Shine! programme will provide residents access to a range of creative workshops and activities, incorporating dance, theatre, music , literature and film.

Sanctuary Group’s director of governance and legal services, Sophie Atkinson, who heads up their community investment team, said: “We are excited to be working with a number of unique arts organisations over the next two years to engage with all of our residents.

“Sanctuary’s approach champions person-centred care and this project supports that by shining a light on the talents of each individual through a wonderful mix of creative arts.”

Organisations involved include Westminster Arts, the youth arts promoter Phakama, mask theatre company Vamos Theatre, and community art charity Ladder to the Moon, who are attracted to the campaign for its commitment to active and personalised care delivery.

We are excited to see what we can bring to residents over the course of the programme.”

Over 3,000 residents will benefit from the campaign, with organisers exited to see what they come up with. Projects will include the creation of poetry books, a film and reminiscence project, and the planting of an ‘Edible Garden’.
