Care sector insurance broker supports The Care Workers Charity

The Care Workers Charity has been chosen as one of the Quality Care Insurance Services’ (QCIS) new charity partners.

The QCIS is a specialist care home insurance broker which provides services to single, small and large care home groups, with 25 years of experience in the sector.

The company announced its plan to start making regular donations of its monthly profits to The Care Workers Charity, to support the work it does to help current, former and retired care workers experiencing financial or health related hardship.

Darren Pollard, QCIS managing director, said:

"QCIS has supported a number of charities over the years but with our core value, 'care at the heart of everything we do' we wanted to put this into action and pick two charities that we could support on an ongoing basis.”

The company has chosen to support the Care Workers Charity alongside Chesnutt Tree House, provides care to children and young adults with progressive and life limiting conditions.

He continued: "Both charities do incredible work for different reasons and we feel very proud to have such deserving partners on board. The Care Workers Charity and Chestnut Tree House will now receive a percentage of our monthly profits enabling us to help others within the wider community. It will be good to see the charities evolve and grow and we look forward to developing our relationship with them over the coming months and years."

Shaun Turner, of the Care Workers Charity has welcomed the charity’s new partnership with the QCIS and said: "We are delighted that QCIS have chosen to partner with The Care Workers Charity. We are heavily reliant upon support from within the industry, and having the support from QCIS on a recurring monthly basis helps greatly towards the planning of our grants giving.

"We receive a huge amount of applications each month and we are extremely grateful for the support from QCIS which not only helps us financially but will also work to raise our profile within the industry."
