A collaboration between Anchor and Castleoak will create 65 luxury retirement apartments in the Weybridge area, offering residents tailored care to help them live independently.
The one and two bedroom apartments will be built by independent developers Castleoak at an estimated cost of cost £12.4m.
The independent living scheme named Austin Place will feature a hair and beauty salon, a coffee shop and large landscaped gardens. Many rooms will have riverside views and each room will be contemporary and fitted with high quality fixtures.
Craig Currie, managing director of Construction at Castleoak, said: “Anchor is a valued Castleoak customer of 14 years. We are delighted to be the design and construction partner for this luxury development and look forward to working with Anchor to create exceptional homes for retirement living.”
Not-for-profit care provider Anchor will provide all residents with a tailored care package to meet their own personal care needs.
Jon Schofield, head of construction at Anchor, said: “Anchor is very happy to be working with Castleoak again in the development of our new independent living scheme called Austin Place.
“Castleoak has a long history in successfully delivering these types of schemes to a very high standard and we are very excited to see this scheme develop and be part of our growing portfolio.
“We have worked collaboratively to agree the detail required to take this scheme from its concept to a start on site. This team effort I'm sure will continue through to the completion of what will be a very successful scheme.”
Castleoak has created 200 care homes and 3,000 extra care apartments since it started providing care accommodation in 1996.
Anchor offers care to over 40,000 people in 1,000 locations across the UK and is the county’s largest not for profit provider of housing and care to older people.
