Residents and staff at Bupa’s Fieldway Nursing and Residential Centre were joined by the Deputy Mayor of Merton, Councillor Pauline Cowper, to celebrate the completion of a £600,000 refurbishment.
The home on Tramway Path, Mitcham, has been redecorated throughout, including brand new furnishings, as part of Bupa’s multi-million-pound commitment to providing even better services for older people.
All aspects of the home, including lounge and dining areas, have been redecorated and given brand new furnishings for residents and their families to enjoy. Residents’ rooms have been redecorated, with new furnishings and carpets.
Fieldway Nursing and Residential Centre provides long and short stay care for the frail elderly and those living with dementia, Huntington’s and Parkinson’s. The home also has an outstanding reputation for its end of life care. And, in keeping with Bupa’s commitment to providing high-quality personal care, qualified nurses are available 24-hours-a-day. Home Manager, Gill Kerry, said: “We’re all really pleased to be able to offer even better facilities and a smart new look for our residents. Having improvement work done is always a bit of a disruption and I’d like to thank everyone who lives and works here for their support while it’s been going on.
“The great news is that we’ve already had many positive comments about the new look from our residents and their families.”
We’re grateful to the Deputy Mayor and everyone else who helped us to mark the big day – we were delighted so many friends and local people were able to join us to share our celebrations.”
