Leeming Garth Care Home visited by Mr P, miniature pony

HC-One’s Leeming Garth Care Home in Leeming Bar received a special visitor on 7 January, a visit which was enjoyed by residents, relatives and staff.

Mr P from KL Pony Therapy visited the home along with his handlers. He is an American Miniature Pony and won the hearts of everyone he met. He lives in Darlington with 5 other miniature friends. His gentle and friendly temperament was a hit with the residents’ who gave lots of love and attention to him. He was small enough to visit the bedrooms so everyone had a chance to meet him.

The visit has prompted lots of conversation and evoked many memories for the Residents who all had such a wonderful time. So much so that Leeming Garth Care Home has already booked another couple of visits to meet Mr P’s friends!
