The 85-year-old saw her wish come true, after she won a Christmas wish competition run by Hallmark Care Homes group, which has 15 care homes in the UK.

She was chauffeur driven by Rolls Royce to Peter Andre’s ‘Come swing with me’ concert, to meet him in person and watch him perform live.

Ms Martin, who lives at Hallmark Care Home, Bucklesham Grange in Ipswich, said: “I had a lovely time and I enjoyed meeting Peter, he is a really nice man and a talented singer. It was worth the late and sleepless night!”

She was accompanied to the show by care assistant and family friend, Beverley Shaw, who said: “Patricia had a wonderful evening and it was nice to see her enjoying herself and tapping her feet.

“Peter was a really genuine guy, he sung to her personally and even dedicated her favourite song, ‘Fly me to the Moon’ by Frank Sinatra later on stage, saying he met a special lady in a wheelchair called Pat.”

Hallmark Care Homes group has received over 500 wishes from its 15 homes in England and Wales. Hallmark Care Homes has pledged to make at least one wish come true per home. Currently, six resident wishes have been fulfilled.
