Care group Helen McArdle Care is unveiling its nineteenth care home to the public on 20 November.
The group’s new £6m care home, Fleming Court in Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne, will provide residential, dementia and respite care and will open its doors to the community for the first time this weekend.
Helen McArdle Care already manages 18 care homes and employs over 1,300 staff with a turnover of almost £32m.
The group offers residential, nursing and home care across the North East of England and last October, St. Clare’s Court in Newton Aycliffe became the eighteenth Helen McArdle care home.
Helen McArdle Care's expansion plans will continue into the new year when it opens its twentieth care home Grampian Court in Peterlee. The company has invested £12 million into its three new care homes, which it says will provide 180 full time jobs in the region.
Fleming Court will employ more than 60 staff from the local area and its facilities include a cinema café, bar, orangery, a beauty salon and a bowling green.
The new care home's manager Suzanne Hughes said: “I am excited to have been given the opportunity to commission my first new care home.
"At Fleming Court we have created a lifestyle that reflects the dignity and luxury that older people deserve and I am very excited to welcome our first residents.
“We have already made some great relationships in the community and we are looking forward to developing these in the coming months.”
Future community events at Fleming Court include an Elf Day to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Last August, Helen McArdle Care achieved four outstanding CQC inspections out of 17 of its homes that were inspected. Last year, the group’s company founder and chairman, Helen McArdle, was awarded a CBE for her services to the care industry.
