Staff and residents at NorseCare have celebrated a double win at the National Care Awards, beating off fierce competition from some of the largest care groups in the country.

Judges considered NorseCare homes and housing with care schemes to be effective in delivering person-centred care, promoting wellbeing and social interaction, and providing a “homely” feel for residents.

The group was presented with an award for Care Home Group of the Year by former Boyzone member, Keith Duffy, at the London ceremony in November.

Karen Knight, NorseCare’s managing director, said: “This is an amazing achievement for us. I am so pleased for all our teams around our homes and schemes in Norfolk, recognising the fantastic care that they deliver.”

The provider received a further award for its Lloyd Court Housing with Care scheme.

The Lloyd Court care team was recognised as one of the best in the country, receiving the Care Team of the Year award for its compassionate care and enthusiasm for enabling residents to maintain independent and meaningful lives.

Ms Knight added: “For the team at Lloyd Court to be rewarded as the best Care Team in the country is terrific.

“They constantly receive compliments and praise for the care they provide from the tenants and families, so for this to be acknowledged at a national level is very special.”

Supported by Caring Times, the awards took place at the Hilton London Metropole in the West End and were attended by more than 700 representatives from some of the biggest care organisations from around the country.
