Residents from The Grange Care Centre in Derbyshire, made the most of the recent good weather, with a trip to their local Garden Centre and aquarium, in the nearby village of Barlborough, Chesterfield.

The group, comprising residents Colin, Joan, Mabel, Graham, and Yvonne, enjoyed an energising walk round Dobbie’s Garden Centre and its grounds, together with Activity Coordinators Lyndsey Roberts and Mandy Peel, and Care Assistant Stacey Davis.

The large variety of spring plants on display, and the aquarium were particular highlights, with resident Joan commenting, “What a lovely day out we had, which has given us all lots of inspiration for the garden back home. The aquatic display was absolutely mesmerising, and stopping at the café rounded off a perfect afternoon, particularly as Mandy kindly treated us all to a cake.”

Activity Coordinator Mandy commented, “Dobbie’s is always a popular day out due to the variety of things to do and see there, and its setting in the lovely village of Barlborough. We were extremely fortunate with the weather, and are looking forward to coming back again soon.”
