Friends Reunited

The Gables Care Home in Middlesbrough has just seen friends reunited. Residents Bert Jackson and Edith Woods first became friends fifteen years ago after Edith moved into the same sheltered accommodation facility.

When Bert came to live at The Gables he quickly settled in and Edith used to visit him when she could, however her physical health constraints prevented her from seeing him as much as she used to. When Edith was looking for respite care this summer, she chose The Gables and the friends have been spending much of their time catching up.

Home manager Kate Charlton said, “It’s wonderful to see the friends reunited and enjoying themselves in our lovely home.”
