Make a Wish Come True

Kingfisher Lodge have their very own Wish Tree. The idea behind this is that every resident can write down a wish that they would like to come true and the team at Kingfisher will endeavour to make it happen.

Some of the wishes currently on the tree include 'go to watch a Bristol Rovers Game' and 'a day trip to Cardiff'.

The most recent wish that was granted was for a resident who wanted to visit her village of Timsbury where she grew up and worked for many years. The Activities team Vicky and Kelly organised a mini bus trip to take her to Timsbury. Whilst in Timsbury they visited the local post office which was her previous place of work, her local church and stopped for fish and chips in her local chippy.

Vicky said "it is just so great to be able to do this for someone else, we had such a great time and time like this spent together making these wishes come true is so important".
