Eachstep Blackley celebrates success in CQC Report

Community Integrated Care, one of Britain's biggest and most successful health and social care charities is delighted that one of their flagship homes, Eachstep Blackley in Manchester, has received a glowing report from the Care Quality Commission (CQC)

The team at Eachstep Blackley are celebrating following receipt of such an impressive CQC Report that rated the home ‘Good’ in all areas demonstrating that the home is providing high standards of care for residents which are Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-Led.

The inspectors were full of praise of the caring way that people supported in the home were treated with dignity and respect and involved as partners in their care. Family members were very complimentary about the team, comments included "Staff care is exceptional”, “The staff are kind and have respect for residents, like friendship” and “Respect for residents, I think they have it – Absolutely brilliant staff!”

Inspectors also commented on how staff encouraged residents during their support to complete part of the tasks themselves. They also observed that some residents took their pots back into the kitchen after their meal, encouraged by staff to help maintain independence for as long as possible.
