Solihull association for the blind

Lorraine Shannon HSA for Fountains enjoyed spending time with the Solihull Association for the Blind at their Friday craft session at Swan Court Yard, Yardley. A fun game of bingo was played using bingo boards made by the members, with some lovely prizes shared out for the winners.

The group meet every Friday morning 10 am-2 am and are supported to produce some lovely craft items ranging from cane baskets to finger knitted scarves. Some of these items are then placed for sale to raise much-needed funds for the association.

The Association is a voluntary group and has been running for over 30 years. They offer activities, clubs, social inclusion, holiday’s and subsided travel to events.
