Public urged to #ClapForCareHomes

As members of the public across Britain collectively go to their windows and front doors to applaud NHS workers at 8pm every Thursday, a new campaign is urging the people to remember to #ClapForCareHomes.

Care home provider Signature Senior Lifestyle, kicked off the campaign to recognise the dedication of care workers battling to keep people safe in the nation’s care homes.

“We at Signature are immensely grateful to our frontline staff who are continuing to support and care for our residents in these challenging times", said a spokesman for Signature Senior Lifestyle.

“To recognise their dedication, in line with the #ClapForNHS and #ClapForKeyworkers campaigns, this week we have launched our own #ClapForCareHomes campaign.

“This is getting great support on Facebook pages from our residents, their families and from the public.”

'Positive message for care home staff'

The campaign has been launched with a video featuring staff at Signature Senior Lifestyle, which runs 13 care homes in the South East.

“We would love for other care homes and providers to get involved", the spokesman added.

"This is such a positive message for care home staff who are giving everything to help vulnerable people in very difficult circumstances”.
