Castlebar Care Home is very fortunate to have caring relatives that appreciate all of the hard work that the team are doing during this difficult time. They are always delighted to receive lovely cards, flowers, emails and words of encouragement from its extended family.

To give something back and share some of the love they have received, the team and residents at Castlebar collaborated on a project to thank all the NHS workers.

The people living at Castlebar are a talented bunch, so they decided to make thank you banner to display at the home. As rainbows have been used in the last few weeks to spread positivity and hope, they decided to include these within their design.

They used a large roll of paper to make the banner and worked together on the design, using multiple different colours to make their message stand out.

While making the banner, the residents spoke about the current climate and their hopes for normality to return soon, which added positivity to the session and kept everyone focused on the project.

Before long the banner was complete and the multi-coloured theme was certainly eye-catching. The set up a display area in reception and decorated the mantelpiece to match, making for a touching tribute to NHS workers.

Although visitation is currently being limited, the banner will be left on display and when normality does return, visiting NHS staff will see the thank you message from everyone at Castlebar.
