The Care Workers Charity is hosting Professional Care Workers Week to boost the perception of social care in the public consciousness and show care workers they are appreciated.
The week to celebrate care workers is being held on 1-4 September and will focus on the theme of respect and recognition.
During the week there will be a series of webinars featuring industry leaders such as Martin Green, chief executive of Care England and Vic Rayner, executive director talking on topics concerning the future of social care.
The social care workforce is one of the largest in the UK and has been on the frontline during the pandemic.
Karolina Gerlich, executive director at The Care Workers Charity said: "Professional Care Workers Week is an opportunity to demonstrate the best that social care has to offer.
"Join us during Professional Care Workers Week during the 1-4 September and recognise the dedication, hard work and resilience care workers bring to their important and essential role as caregivers by using tweeting about your appreciation of care workers using the hashtags #PCWWeek20 and #R&R."
