Tregony home’s acrostic poems

A few of the Residents at Roseland Court care home in Truro, Cornwall, have joined in creating their own acrostic poems.

For those of you who do not know, an acrostic poem is where certain letters in each line form a word. For example, please see pictured Resident Enid’s poem. Where Residents have used the E, N, I and D to start each line of the poem.

Colleague, Lynn Trudgeon, said, “They really enjoyed doing this and were so happy with the results that they asked for them to be typed up so they could put them in their rooms.”

Residents favourite part of this activity was trying to think of funny sentences.

Home Manager, Michelle Wray, commented, “It was so lovely to watch the Residents laughing together."
