Glitz and Glamour Celebration in aid of award win

At the end of October St George’s Park hosted a ‘Glitz and Glamour’ themed party to celebrate their recent award success.

The first award came in the form of a high commendation from the CHA (Care Home Awards) for best individual care home in a group category!

The second came from NAPA (National Activity Providers Association) for the community engagement category. Only 4 homes nationwide were finalists and St George’s won!

The day started with the red carpet being rolled out and the reception and bars being decorated for the party. A speech from CEO John Fennell and Home Manager Cheryl Walne gave way to live music, performed at a safe distance in the carpark, and drinks at the bar.

Continuing the glitz theme there was a roulette table set up and casino games in the reception. Everybody sat down for fish and chips together and old friends such as Sarah, former Clinical Lead, made a video call to say congratulations. It was a fantastic day for residents and staff.
