Mount Hermon planning approval received

Some great news before Christmas, we’re delighted to have received planning approval for a new 66-bed care home in Lancing, West Sussex for Vesta Care and their parent company Anavo Capital.

Vesta Care approached Carless + Adams in November 2019 to look at re-providing their existing Mount Hermon Care Home which was no longer meeting their requirements or future needs.

Located on the Brighton Road, the home is in an enviable location facing the sea, with far-reaching views across the beach upon which Carless + Adams’ new design took advantage of the new state of the art facility provides a green roof to the single-storey rear extension to both increase the biodiversity of the site and provide residents who do not have a sea view, a stunning vista.

The home will provide a high-quality standard of living and communal accommodation by utilising a mix of traditional and modern materials in a contemporary style.

Following the pre-app, the scheme was submitted for full planning in July 2020. Following extensive negotiations with the planners, the scheme went to committee with a recommendation for approval. Carless + Adams conducted all the consultations virtually, from local neighbours to the Parish Council and finally the actual planning meeting, where planning was approved unanimously.
