International Kite Day

Residents of Kingston Care Home showed off their creative talents for International Kite Day.

During our arts and crafts session, our residents created beautiful kites made out of card. Everyone gave their kite a bit of personality by decorating them.

Some of our residents coloured them in and created eye-catching patterns, others used glitter to add a bit of glamour and we even had a kite with mosaic tiles!

As you can see from the photos, the kites were a massive success as they all look fantastic! Many of our residents were so thrilled with their creation that they put their kite on display in their bedroom. We also hung the kites in our lounges for everyone to admire.

We ended our celebrations by watching videos about the Kite Festival, which we found fascinating.
