The ice cream van was a welcome visitor at Broadway Halls

Staff and residents at Broadway Halls care home in Dudley were happy to see Pepe's ice cream van visit them this week.

Rebecca Hall, Senior General Manager commented: "Although the summer weather has been an ever-changing mix of sun and rain, our love of ice cream never wanes. Who doesn't love a delicious 99 with a chocolate flake, there were smiles all round."

One resident said: "It takes me back to my childhood when having an ice cream was a real treat, if we had a 99 with a flake it felt like Christmas!"
