Care operator New Care currently runs nine care homes but plans to double in size by opening seven brand new care homes in the North of England.
This year, New Care is opening three new care homes - starting with Adel Manor care home in April. The care group hopes to unveil a care home in Wilmslow this August and another in Lymm this November.
Four more care homes, under construction in Egerton, Grappenhall, Guiseley and Sale, are expected to open in 2023 - with the seventh opening by January 2024.
Part of the McGoff Group, New Care currently employs 810 workers at its nine care homes and will fill 800 new jobs over the next two years – effectively doubling the group's size.
New Care will be recruiting for a variety of jobs in care, hospitality, housekeeping, maintenance and wellbeing.
Alex Fairhurst, New Care’s recruitment lead, said: “Working in the care sector is hugely rewarding and as a company, New Care understands how important it is to highlight this.
"With a good selection of roles available within each of our care facilities, we can nurture careers across a number of industries, from chefs, waiters, front of house and housekeeping to carers, nurses, wellbeing and recruitment.
“It really is an incredibly exciting time to work for New Care as the company continues to expand. With the opening of several new care homes in the pipeline for the next 24 months, recruitment will play a large part in the firm’s future strategy.”
In its annual Business Outlook report, property adviser Christie & Co said 2022 will be a ‘busy year’.
Richard Lunn, Christie & Co's managing director for Care, said that despite the operational challenges currently, particularly around staffing, “the outlook for the sector is very good” and the “buoyancy of the sector and the strength of investor appetite makes us optimistic for the year ahead.”
